Coach's Corner

Hello and welcome to the Coach's Corner, my name is Anthony Hudson, the Head Coach of Real Maryland FC.

Each week I will be bringing you football news, thoughts from the coach and team updates.

First, I would like to extend my appreciation to the people in and around the club who have made my arrival to Maryland extremely welcoming.  It is very clear that the club has a tremendous future and it is exciting to be part of that growing process.  As we start to approach Thanksgiving and Christmas, my number one priority is to find quality players and to combine that with the talent we already have.  The Maryland , D.C., Virginia area is a real hotbed for talent.  We will be aiming to build a solid, competitive team that the local fans can be proud of.

On my visit here last season with the Wilmington Hammerheads, the one thing that stood out to me was the fantastic support from the fans.  Our new venue for next season, Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, is a fantastic stadium that is going to be great for the players and will have an even better atmosphere for the fans.

I am looking forward to another positive turnout at our second open tryout on November 15th.
