REAL MARYLAND FC

Monarchs in Bermuda Friday Night

Silver Spring, MD—Real Maryland FC is on the road this Friday night in Bermuda.  The Monarchs (3-1) look to get three points on the road when they take on the Hogges (2-3-1).  Bermuda is one point behind the Monarchs who stand just 2 points out of first place.

The last match saw the two teams battle it out to the final minutes of play.  Real Maryland FC was able to hold onto a 3-2 victory to open up the season.  Since the match-up, the Hogges have taken down two strong opponents at home - Richmond and Harrisburg.

National Stadium is proving to be a tough place for visitors to try and take home points.  The Monarchs will look to its stellar net minder David Kerr, who has two shutouts in the last two matches and their striker Gary Brooks, who already has nine (9) points in this young season.

Bermuda will look Domico Coddington, who has 6 points in 6 games and a defense that has stepped up their efforts in the last couple of matches.  It will be a good game as Bermuda looks to avenge their road loss a couple of weeks ago.

The Monarchs will be back in town for the Rockville Hometown Holidays on Saturday & Sunday.  It is the annual event the city where their home stadium is located, has an estimated 60,000 people attend the Memorial Day fun and festivities.  This year, Real Maryland FC is a co-sponsor of the event.  Please stop by their two playing areas to meet the players and win prizes.

Real Maryland FC participates in the Second Division of the United Soccer Leagues.  All 2009 Regular Season Home Games will be played at Lester Stadium at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD.  For more information or tickets, please visit realmaryland.us or contact General Manager David Noyes at (301) 933-6460.
