2009 SEASON HOME OPENER THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 25TH

Silver Spring, MD – It’s finally here!  This Saturday, April 25th Real Maryland FC will open up its season at its home stadium, Richard Montgomery High School, with a highly anticipated match against the Bermuda Hogges.  The tie that pins the two teams is they are both looking to put 2008 in the past and improve in 2009.

 

Since coming off a tough in augural season, Real Maryland FC has seen a good amount of activity in the off-season, beginning with the signing of new Head Coach Anthony Hudson.  The Monarchs will field a completely new squad that that of 2008, with the exception of talented mid-fielder Victor Ramirez.  With new captain Pat Carroll, formerly of DC United, and English striking sensation Jody Banim, Real Maryland FC is truly setting its sights high for the 2009 Season.

 

The Bermuda Hogges, who finished only one slot ahead of the Monarchs in 2008, look to have a better season as well. In their third year in the league, Bermuda will look back to Damon Ming for offensive production, as he was the leading scorer last season with 4 goals, as well as marking 4 assists.

 

The game will be played at the home of Real Maryland FC, Richard Montgomery High School’s Lester Stadium on Saturday, April 25th at 6 pm.  For tickets, please contact customer service at .
