Report: Real Maryland Super 20s Win First Match

The Real Maryland U-20s won its first ever official match 5-1 over the South Jersey Barons on Sunday at the Maryland SoccerPlex.

Yannick Chiepoue scored two goals and Draymond Washington, Jimmi Serpas and Lucas Szabo were also on target for the young Monarchs. Oscar Alvarenga had a strong game in net only conceding one goal.

“We dominated the game with good ball possession,” Super-20 coach Roger Fernandez said. “We were also able to make the most of our opportunities.”

The Real Maryland Super-20’s compete in the USL Super Y league.

The young Monarchs are back in action June 8 when they face DC United at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
