Pablo Gomez Arrives

Real Maryland is happy to announce that midfielder Pablo Gomez has finally arrived safely in the US and is in Maryland.

Following months of waiting for international clearance, the Argentine- and younger brother of former MLS MVP and Colorado Rapids midfielder Christian Gomez- touched down at Reagan National Airport at 11:45 this morning and came right to the Real Maryland office to finish up all the necessary paper work.

“I am excited that he is here and am anxious to see how he meshes with his new teammates,” said head coach Silvino Gonzalo. “He will start training with the team on Thursday.”

Gomez is expected to compete for time in an already talented midfield. Gonzalo has yet to indicate whether Gomez will be included in the 18 man roster for this weekend’s trip to Cleveland.
