Jonathan Borrajo concluded test practices with associated team in Spain
?
American soccer player Jonathan Borrajo, who plays with the Real Maryland Monarchs, member of the American Second Division Soccer Leagues, has concluded a two week practice with the Sporting B. team in Gijon, Spain.
The 22 year old young man plays as central midfielder or right lateral midfielder, as he did during his last four appearances. After having a remarkable performance with the Real Maryland during the past season, he arrived in Gijon by the hand of its owner, the Asturian Victor Moran, who witnessed the match between Sporting and Sevilla in which Mr. Moran expressed his desire to collaborate with the red and white club.
?
Collaboration between both teams has become a reality and the American defense player has made a positive impression on the coaching staff of the affiliate, unfortunately at this time, there are no spots available for during the upcoming season. "You can see he has good skills. Perhaps in the future, the club can incorporate him into the team" said Abelardo.
Jonathan hopes to return to Gij?n soon. "I really like the soccer style played in Spain. My dream is to have the opportunity to play in this country and I would love to be part of Sporting one day?, Jonathan said yesterday. ?I think the team needs a lateral player and that is why I'm here. We?ll see what happens in the future?" said the defender.
The player finished the practice test today. He now returns to America where he will train with the New York Red Bulls, member of the Major League Soccer. He remains hopeful about the possibilities with Sporting. "If Sporting needs me, I would love to play for them; I don?t care if it is in the first or second team. I?m very attracted to the soccer environment in Gijon?, said Jonathan, who closely followed yesterday's match between Sporting B and Gimn?stica.
