Real Maryland midfielder Victor Ramirez was selected to the USL-2 Team of the Week for week 16.
?
The 19 year-old recorded a goal and an assist in the heartbreaking loss to crystal Palace.
?
Ramirez brought his side level at 1-1 in the 77th minute with a brilliant free kick from just outside the area for his first ever professional goal.
?
With the Monarchs losing 3-1 in the 90th minute Ramirez showed great vision when looked up from the left wing and sent in an early pinpoint cross for Nilson Perez to nudge home.
?
This goal set up a frantic ending in which Real Maryland was wrongfully denied the equalizer. If it hadn?t been for the contribution of Ramirez, however, the Monarchs would have never even been in position to go for the tying goal.
?
Congratulations to Victor Ramirez and best of luck to the Monarchs this Saturday versus the Riverhounds.
