Zelaya Named USL-2 Goalie of the Week  

Real Maryland keeper Emilio Zelaya earned USL-2 Team of the Week honors for his shut-out performance against the Bermuda Hogges.

Zelaya was in inspired form on the island as he made eight saves- including a penalty kick- to help the Monarchs earn their first point since the May 24th victory over the Wilmington Hammerheads. 

This is the Salvadorian shot stopper’s second USL-2 Team of the week honor. Zelaya was also named the USL-2 goalie of the week after recording a clean sheet against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in week two.

The Monarchs will look to Zelaya for more heroics as the team travels to North Carolina this weekend for matches with the Wilmington Hammerheads (Friday 7:30 P.M.) and the Charlotte Eagles (Saturday 7:00 P.M.).
