He has not only created teams that have done extremely well, but Coach Arjona has produced numerous individual talented soccer players that have played for USSF Academy Programs, prestigious High Schools, Nationally Ranked Colleges, United States National Youth Teams and teams in Europe.  Some of the Colleges and International Teams include: Ohio State University, George Mason University, West Virginia University, Villanova University, Saint Francis University, Loyola Baltimore University, Sporting Porto in Portugal and two Second Division Teams in Germany and Sweden.

“While I was impressed with Julio’s coaching resume, I was equally impressed with his character, drive and passion for the sport of soccer,” said General Manager David Noyes.  “During this past 2011 Season, Julio Arjona, Jr. was a captain of our PDL team at just 18 years old.  He demonstrated dedication, passion and drive that I want all Real Maryland FC players to demonstrate.  I believe that Julio Arjona’s character and connection to youth and the community is a very positive step for the Monarch Family and we are proud that he will be joining a number of RMFC SYL coaches that will be returning for the 2012 USL Super Y League Season.”

The first round of tryouts for the 2012 Super Y League Season will begin in Mid-December after the United Soccer Leagues has held the 2011 Super Y League National Tournament that seven Monarch Teams have qualified for over the last three years, including three this past season.

Real Maryland FC will offer tryouts for teams in both the boys and girls divisions from ages U13-U17 with the possibility of a new U12 Boys Team for 2012.  The tryouts will take place at Richard Montgomery High School Stadium Field in Rockville, MD.
